I actually started out on HotDog Pro, and stayed with it as far as version
5. While I was using it, I did experience some buggyness with the program
-- it kept crashing (I believe this was because of the rover vision). I
also was having problems getting support (ie, no real technical support,
and not many manuals on it). They do have their user forum, but I never
could count on a quick response. Also, at the time I was using it, they
didn't have any javascripting, and the special effects they did have were
either 3rd party and/or difficult to use.
As I got more serious about web design, I started hearing a lot of good
things about Dreamweaver and decided to try it out. I never went back to
HotDog.
