Annie,

You are going to have a tough time trying to replace PSP, imnsho! 
While Photoshop is nice, it doesn't have the good drawing tools (not 
being a drawing program!) that PSP does, and I think you'll be like 
me, finding it frustrating to do simple tasks that take no time in 
PSP.

Someone else suggested Painter 6, now from Corel. I haven't tried it, 
I did dabble briefly with it on the Windows side, found it neat but 
rather complicated (can you tell I like things simple?).

My choice? Get Virtual PC and port over PSP 6.0 (upgrade if you 
haven't yet!). That's what I do when I need something quick at work 
(where I use a Mac, Windows boxen at home). But if you can't do that, 
then go with either Photoshop or Painter...they're about all we've 
got.
