If this is "Can I advance the Macromedia Flash movie to a specific frame
from JavaScript?" then yes, in browsers which support such an ability...
the first hit when searching the Flash technotes with keyword "javascript"
brings up:
"Using JavaScript with Flash Player"

The "goToFrame()" and other methods are discussed there. You'd still have
to download that big SWF to get to parts later in the file, as discussed
previously in this thread.

There may be other ways to achieve your overall goals... I may have pulled
the wrong question about the shared application from that description of
the intended project, sorry.
