Wondering if there is any precedent set in the web design industry =
regarding a client's request that you leave the 'design by...' line off =
the pages you design for them. Since some search engines rank your =
popularity based on how many other sites are linked to you, it seems =
like this would be cheating the designer out of business benefits. Also, =
it seems to me somewhat like commissioning a piece of art work and =
asking the artist not to sign it.=20

Should web designers require a fee for non-placement of 'design by' =
line? Does anyone currently have experience with this?=20
