Ahhhh, see?  Now the real solution you need to learn about is Photoshop's 
"actions" which make such things relatively easy... in other software, too, 
you can do even more scripting and run batches of images... I know that on 
the Mac you can do such with GraphicConverter, and I suspect that there are 
many apps which do similar things on Windows.
