Use a better tool to compress your jpegs. like Photoshop 5.5
or even jpeg optimizer (shareware from winfiles.com)

Jpeg's with lots of artifacts don't look very professional
if they are ig make them progressive.

Visit www.apple.com to see some impressive but small jpeg's.
