[thelist] can not access the archive

Hi, what am i doing wrong?
I am trying to search the archives of the list to find information about any 
suggestions for good free (invisible) counters. I have tried thecounter.com 
but don't like it since it has changed. Anyway i go the the archives click 
on a thread/date/ etc and the resulting page says i don't have permission to 
look at it.
Is there not a search box in the archive section i can use? I sort of 
remember there being one last time i used it, but it is not there now.
