you've got from 1-3 months, depending on when they release it in 
September and what you consider today to be... that's not a while...

what i can't tell is if they are only updating the UI and developer 
features, or if they also plan on a new Flash player...

if it's a new Flash player, will we see something like browser 
adoption curves here?  people won't get the latest because they 
don't care?

i can see more and more discussions about designing for old Flash 
players that mirror our old browser discussions... *assuming* they 
expect to ship a new player... even then, there are still many cases 
where people only have Flash 3....

i think, internet time or not, this time between versions is awfully 
short...
