Far too many cases recently of customer databases being available -
in one case, if you chopped off the end of the URL, you could view the
directory which contained a plain-text version of the entire customer base.

In another, an 'upgrade' of a major UK bank's online banking software allowed
all customers to see each others' banking details - a couple of the customers
called the bank to notify them; everyone else called the media.

The UK's data protection registrar hit the roof - there will be new guidelines
for web sites coming out in the next month or so.
