yep... that's a mess...

relying on cookies to redirect users can bring nothing but
tears... and phone calls from clients on saturdays...

i know scott's just trying to show the wonderful
interconnectedness of things, but sometimes things shouldn't
be interconnected - which is why i think einstein's had so
much trouble with his grand unified theory...

in short, simple rule of thumb, don't make the client-side
do work the server-side could do...

but you can use it to pre-populate the login field, and
maybe even a default login page from a user's "special
preferences"...
