nick,

: Has anyone else experienced this problem with CF
: where things work and then don't work and then later
: they work and then don't work and then work etc......??
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

on my first visit it worked just fine - returning 22 jobs. however,
clicking to an individual job gave me an error saying that the table name
could not be found. then, i went back to the job page and reloaded it and
it came back with the same error - can't find table named jobs. i suspect
that you have an application or session variable that's getting changed on
one of your pages, causing the problem you're describing.

[about 2 hours later]

i decided to try again before sending out the email. this time instead of
viewing an individual job i decided to just reload the job search results.
this time i get the following error:

Error Diagnostic Information
ODBC Error Code = S0002 (Base table not found)

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine
cannot find the input table or query 'jobs'. Make sure it exists and that
its name is spelled correctly.

The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier of
(CFQUERY), occupying document position (1:1) to (1:69).

Browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows 98)

HTTP Referer: http://www.aussieinlondon.com/html/jobs/jobs.cfm
Template: d:\html\users\aussieinlondoncom\html\html\jobs\search\search.cfm
Query String: sector=All&job_type=All&keyword=&formpassed=yes&submit=Search

i'd say your problem is in the search template or some wack logic in your
application.cfm file.

good luck,
