hi,

anyone done SMS (short message service?) stuff?

basically, im looking at integrating a few of these options into future
quotes/projects. what's required to hook up, say a CF application to
something like this? can you do it with a script? or do you need to run it
via the telcos? (i have NFI)

for example, i'd want to be able to send members with mobile phones a short
message saying something like:

"special deal, blah blah blah"

or

"reminder: meeting is on tuesday, 9pm"

that kinda stuff. preferably pulling the info from a db, and personalising
it to each member.


anyone with any links/info/experience?
