I can show ya the whole messy ass page if needed but conceptually speaking,
what would be your GUESS as to what is happening here (msaccessdb and asp
based site that is already admittedly and unavoidably
cookie-based-everything):

Scenario:
1) You search for products;
2) Add a product to your cart;
3) You are returned to the results page with a confirmation of what you just
put in your cart;
    note: There is nothing selected in this page now - nothing in the
visible fields/quantity field anyway.
4) If you refresh that returned page, it will add yet *another* item to your
cart.

If you either:
A) can and would want to "refurbish" and extend an access db backend and
handle some asp client/server programming on a freelance/independant
contract basis - this might (I'm pretty sure it SHOULD) include a complete
demolition of the existing backend

                   OR

B) have ability and knowledge with a similar scale solution that *is not*
access/asp and would like to work on a freelance, ind.contract or direct
contract basis (with my client) -
