Sure, but it depends on the email client. Outlook Express accepts at least:

mailto:me at myaddress.com?subject=blahbhah&message=Hi%20There!%blah%20blah

and

mailto:me at myaddress.com?subject=blahbhah&body=Hi%20There!%blah%20blah

Note that you must URL encode the spaces, symbols etc.
