woooooaaaah there paco!

i can guarantee you there are flatbed transparency scanners that will whip some butt when
it comes to image quality, because i have experienced the revelation myself. the scanner
i'm thinking of is the LINOTYPE SAPHIRE ULTRA 2.

i was using polaroid sprint scan slide / neg scanner at school that absolutely ruined
some of my images in digital format. when i used the flatbed, the colors were more
accurate, the shadow detail was more visible and overall it was a sharper image. you DO
have to rip apart your slides to get them flat on the glass, tho.

consider this: a slide scanner is good for one thing and one thing only -- film. whereas
a transparency flatbed is quite versatile.
