[thelist] Fusebox development?

I have two thoughts. First, any structured methodology is better than no
methodology. Fusebox has a lot of advocates, and seems to work well if you
have multiple programmers writing different modules that need to plug
together.

I don't like it personally. I agree with a lot of the methods, but I think
there is a fundamental flaw in the logic. Fusebox doesn't seem to follow
the way Cold Fusion and standard web development works. It ignores the
normal application structure and use of Application.cfm in favor of a
Fusebox include. It insists on running every page through the same URL,
which gets confusing to navigate. There are other quirks that I don't care
for.

I have evolved in my coding to a similar methodology, but one that leverages
the benefits and enhancements that Allaire includes in Cold Fusion. It ends
up being a twisted, sordid mix between the Spectra philosophy, the Fusebox
methodology, and high amounts of alcohol. Think of a baby spawned by Jesse
Ventura + Margaret Thatcher at a soccer riot. It seems to work for me
though. Maybe someday I'll get off my ass and document it for the world to
see.

For all the CF developers out there, what do you think of the Fusebox
(www.fusebox.org) method of developing sites?

What are the pro's and con's?
