[thelist] Sending plain text email with AOL

Hi folks. I'm new to the list, and thought I'd introduce myself by asking a
question.

I recently set up a mailing list for a client. Only trouble is, she uses AOL
(I know, I know). She's not very computer literate, but I finally managed to
teach her the difference between email that's formatted with HTML and plain
text email, and why it's a good idea to use plain text to a mailing list.

Now the problem is the AOL email client, which insists on encoding the email
in HTML. We haven't managed to find the setting to turn this off. Anyone
know where it is?
