+1 on that...
i've seen a crapload of resumes (and CVs, portfolios, etc) come
through lately from people who claim to have experience in, or be
experts at, content-management systems, usability, interface
design, coding, etc...
invariably a few questions later it's clear that the person is
clueless...
make sure that before you call yourself a sysadmin or a dba, that
you've actually done the job and know what it entails... i keep
resumes on file, but when somebody says that he/she is an HTML
expert (for instance), but doesn't even know about the W3C,
valdiation, or what DTD to use, that resume goes to the circular
file... i know that i'm just echoing jay's paragraph above, but from
the employer's perspective, that will kill your chances of
landing a gig hands-down...
