I use Atomz on http://www.easyweb.co.uk/ and it's pretty good. The
indexing is good, and pretty good synonym/soundalike word support.

The only downside I have with it (and this may be a factor of the freeware
version) is that it doesn't allow me to do any server-side cleverness on
the results page - I would rather have an XML feed or some such which
I can bring into my own (extensively XSSI-enabled) template.

Hi listees

I am still looking a obtaining a search facility for my organisation's web
site (non profit) some of you may remember that I asked about this a few
weeks ago.  I have been looking at Atomz (following recommendations from
some of you), and I am waiting for a quote from them, as our site is already
too big for their free facility.

I am also looking at other search facilities which look to be cheaper,
including whatuseek.com, picosearch.com and freefind.com

I am wondering whether any of you have experience with any of these search
facilities (or any other), and would be willing to share any thoughts.

I do have a budget for this (not too sure how much yet though) but I need to
show my boss exactly what we might get and for how much.
