Hi everyone.

I too am very interested in the growth and evolution of intranets. In
fact, I'm writing my master's thesis in information science on one aspect
of intranet development - metadata for document/resource description. I
have been gathering metadata schemas and standards for the elements,
attributes, descriptions or anything I can find. If you are working on an
intranet that has such a metadata schema in place or is working on
implementing one, could you please share your information with me? I will
be more than willing to give any interested party a copy of the thesis once
it's finished sometime later this year.

Any information you provide will be kept confidential and will not be made
public. Only aggregate data will be used in the study and no individuals
or corporations will be identified in any way. I understand these schemas
are proprietary information and will sign and send a confidentiality
agreement at your request. Should you have any questions feel free to
contact me at obere at ils.unc.edu. You may also contact my thesis advisor
Jane Greenberg by sending a message to janeg at ils.unc.edu.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Eric Obershaw
