Memo from Martin P Burns of PricewaterhouseCoopers

-------------------- Start of message text --------------------

Hi Madhu

A good place to get into regexps is via pretty much any Perl textbook -
the Dummies Guide to Perl5 is pretty good as an intro. Well-commented
Perl code is also useful.

To get into it on a guru level, try "Mastering Regular Expressions":
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1565922573/martin043
http://enterprise.ic.gc.ca/~jfriedl/regex/

It does cover more than Perl (particularly Unix tools like sed & grep), but
Perl is the main focus.

Cheers
Martin

OK, I know a fair bit of ASP, but I know squat about regular expressions.
Dunno what it is about them, but it doesn't stick in my head. I want to work
my way up to become a RegExp guru. So, anyone know any good starting points
(in plain English)?

Thanks,

Madhu
