[thelist] Getting SQL Servers

I'd like my App to be able to:

1)  Present the user with a list of local and linked SQL servers

and:

2)  Once a SQL Server is selected, present the user with a list of available
Databases on that Server.

Anybody know how to do this?  Can it be done?  Seems like it should be
possible...
