I hope I'm not too late to get in on this thread (I'm a digest lurker), but
when i'm on the PC, I've been using ConText, a pretty nice freeware editor:

My biggest beef is with the "tabs" used in it, but it's got everything I
need: syntax highlighting (customizable, too), excellent support for
multiple files, just a nice piece o' software.

On a related note, I started using MKEdit for the Mac instead of BBEdit.
Another piece of freeware, it's got syntax highlighting (customizable, too --
I made a 'VBScript' library so i could do my ASP coding on my Mac)

**Might be a dumb question, might not be. I work on a PC my manager works
on
a MAC. he does the usual as I have heard with Designer pages in Dreamweaver

and cleaning it up using BBEdit. In the last 2 days I have heard how great
BBEdit is and how people can't live without it. Well here is my question.
Is there anything out there comparable to BBEdit for a PC User? No I am not

talking about Dreamweaver or TextPad. Any software suggests would be of
great help as I feel left out. :-(
