[thelist] simple ASP help request

I'm a Mac user who primarily works in GoLive & BBEdit. I know HTML and CSS. I
don't know nothin bout no ASP but I'm trying to figure out what I think is a
very simple ASP task. I've got a form set up with a single input field. I want
to be able to enter a string (in this case a date) into the field, click
submit, and have the string appear on another asp page. With someone else's
assistance I've got a partial solution. It's visible at

http://www.national-linen.com/testform.asp

The problem is that I want the string to stay on the page until the form is
re-submitted. As it is, the date disappears if you Refresh the page. Keep in
mind that this doesn't have to be a date. It should be able to work for any
simple text string. I just want to end up with a form that allows someone to
make a simple change to a text string and have that change remain visable on
the page.

Can anyone help?
