I know this is'nt completely useful but the computerarts photoshop special
had just such a tutorial a few months ago.  It might be on
www.computerarts.co.uk.  I'm no photoshop wizz, so I won't bother trying to
describe it, but if your stuck let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

I'd like to create Aqua-like buttons (Aqua is Apple's new interface).  I
don't want to just rip off the buttons from screenshots.

Where can I find some information on designing a similiar translucent effect
in Photoshop?
