And if your host doesn't want to switch to database storage yet, here's
the process for increasing the registry size under Windows 2000.

<tip type="Increasing the Windows 2000 Registry Size" author="David

I know this is totally obvious to some, but if you're not used to Win2K,
it's pretty well hidden.

1. Open the System control panel and select the "Advanced" tab.

2. Click "Performance Options..."

[2.5. While you're in here, if you're working with a server, you should
make sure that the performance is optimized for "Background Services".]

3. Under the Virtual Memory box, click "Change..."

4. At the bottom of the following window is the Registry Size box. There
are probably interesting limits and restrictions to setting the registry
size, but you'd have to check the Win2K documentation to find out.

This is really a temporary fix. If you're running out of space for client
variable storage, you'll probably need to find a longer term solution,
like limiting the storage time.

</tip>

Good luck!
