Mark--
	I agree--we abandoned the in/out feature too. FWIW, FP's similar
feature also caused problems when I moved to a new position, and turned the
site over to someone else. Some files were checked out to me when my
permissions were cancelled and now no one has been able to touch them!
SysAdmin is working on it...
