I can't imagine that there would be a style guide that *everyone* uses; that
requires agreement on what is actually "correct," and I suspect such
consensus is a pipe-dream.  (In the copywriting business, there are several
style books. One is "The Chicago Manual of Style," another is "Associated
Press Style Guide." Everyone has their favorite, although I think a lot of
newspapers use the AP Guide.) We as an organization have our own in-house
style guide ("Ave." for Avenue, "website" for web site, etc.) - we use
e-mail, although I personally find the hyphen annoying and hard to hit on my
keyboard - LOL.

This *seems* to hold some promise, but in the first 60 seconds of surfing I
could not find the answer to the specific question. Still, some helpful
stuff...
