[thelist] Illustrator

Hi all,

I was recently gifted with a copy of Adobe Illustrator. I can't imagine 
(yet) what I would use it for, but a recent thread on PDF whetted my curiosity.

Before I go surfing into the abyss, any good links for newbies? Just what 
does it do? I see references to it occasionally here and on other lists, 
but is it really for the web?

Pardon my Friday night musings, but I'm really curious.
