so, it's hosted at evolt.org... which means the URL i'm supposed to 
end up at, after a couple refreshes, is 
http://members.evolt.org/doofs/...  took me a minute to get there, 
you're probably better off just posting that, or the final URL you 
push people to at http://members.evolt.org/doofs/home.php...

well, don't store their information in the cookie, that would be bad... 
and give the user the option *not* to store any info, since some 
people use public terminals at libraries and kiosks...

given that, why not a login?  just keep their info in your db and have 
'em type in a username/password, with the option to remember it 
as a cookie... have session timeouts if they don't want that option...
