Can anyone point me to a reference on Lotus Notes' built in web browser?

The Lotus Notes R5 client, for example, has a setting which lets one choose:
Notes with Internet Explorer (the IE control in the notes window)
Notes
Netscape Navigator (just launches an external window)
Internet Explorer
Other

What happens when someone chooses Notes? Are the peculariaties of this 
browser noted somewhere?
