That's sounds odd to me. A buddy of mine is always sending digital pictures
out (he's a Respiratory Therapist doing the traveling practitioner thing
living in Hawaii -- loves showing off sunsets and scuba and golfing shots).

I've never had a problem with them "autoconverting" to the .ART format.

Not disagreeing, really, just indicating that this may be a peculiarity in
what your sender is doing.
