In the wee hour of 01:50 PM 5/8/01 -0400, Ron White bequeathed such tales
as these:
>Look for a .pst file. I tried to export the Outlook Express stuff yesterday
>and it won't do it the way one would think. It tries to export the stuff to
>a better mail program on the machine instead of to a file like Outlook does.
>Fortunately for me the person had Outlook installed but wasn't using it. I
>just had to open it and it saw OE and sucked in the stuff which I
>immediately was able to export to a file for transfer to the other machine.

>Thanks,

PST files are found with Outlook only, OE has .dbx files. So look for the
.dbx and you will find all of your mail boxes. All of the filter settings
however are located in the registry. See the Tomsterdam site
http://www.tomsterdam.com/insideoe5/backup/bu_full.htm for all OE
information about backups etc.
