Netscape's Browser Share Would Rise to 20% Worldwide if AOL
Converted its Customers to Netscape

Amid reports that AOL-Time Warner may end exclusive support
of Microsoft's Internet Explorer, StatMarket is reporting
that Netscape's browser usage share would rise more than six
percentage points to nearly 20 percent worldwide if AOL
(NASDAQ: AOL) converted all of its privately labeled IE
browsers to Netscape. Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT) browser
share, meanwhile, would fall to 80 percent, according to
StatMarket, the leading Internet user trend analysis service
for Web development professionals. As of April 25, 2001, all
versions of the AOL/IE browser accounted for 6.41 percent of
the global usage share market.
