Memo from Martin P Burns of PricewaterhouseCoopers

-------------------- Start of message text --------------------

Sorry Kerin, I beg to differ.

A sensible CMS is no simple matter, and takes a lot of time to
think, plan and develop. Even with most off the shelf CMSs, you
essentially get a toolkit which needs a lot of configuration to
work for the site and business processes in quesion. And that's
when the 'working out how to do generic stuff' thinking has been
done.

Cheers
Martin

PS I may be wrong, but I have a very vague recollection that ASP is a valid
development language for Vignette these days.

If you're comfortable working with ASP, then it would be simpler to write a
CMS yourself.

My ASP is a little flaky (more of a PHP man), and I wrote a CMS for the
Sunday Times in ASP with little difficulty.
