That is, in fact, what I'm planning to do with this - have it scale
horizontally as well as vertically.

I'm very surprised some people have found that it doesnt work. I've used the
site on IE5, IE5.5, IE6b, Mozilla, and N6 on win2k, win98 and Mac, and I've
never had a problem with it.

I'm amazed that someone's worked out a way of doing this and am duely
impressed.

I'm unimpressed that after all that, they failed to take account of the
width of the window.  There's no point having three columns if they
won't all fit inside my window at the same time.  Equally, if there's
space for it, why not have four columns?  Or five?
