[thelist] JS: Un-caching a window's HTTP authentication

Hi.

Haven't been seen around these parts a little while. But I'm always back
when I need something. :)

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to use JS (or any other trick) to get IE
to ditch the HTTP authentication details it is using (username, password),
and pop up a new login box. Effectively a "logout" button/link.

We have an intranet web app here at work (network ops centre) which we use,
but often the same browser window gets used by lots of different people.
The "Remember this password" box is always left unchecked, but we still
have to close the window and open a new one again (and people don't always
bother.. causing more problems).

The access system links in with LDAP so fiddling with changing realms etc
is not an option, it's going to have to be a client-side solution. At least
we all use IE5 so the solution can be IE-specific.

</ol>
