Simon, that is very curious indeed. I tried it and had the same result. As 
you probably know, it works as you actually intend in IE5.5, going back to 
the top level of the directory.

I wonder about using an absolute URL rather than relative. Here's the code 
for that on the page:

<table width="100%" border=0 cellpadding=3 cellspacing=0><tbody><tr><td>
<a href="/index.php"><strong>Top</strong></a>
</td></tr></tbody></table>

I don't know much about PHP (yet! I'm just beginning) or why Opera is doing 
that, so that's just my 2 cents here. It would be interesting to know WHY 
that's happening, though.
