not a dumb question at all - but the answer is That is what the client
wants, and no matter how much we try and talk them out of it - thats
that!  - The site was in flash - but the site was a victim of its own
success and the load times kept increasing and the client didn't
understand the reasons why, so just kept complaining.

So a major overhaul, with what i described before.
