Do you have a Manufacturer's driver diskette for the SCSI?  You need to use
it when you the 2nd(?, I forget where it is in the load process), diskette
prompts you to load other manufacturer's drivers.  Don't rely on the MS
drivers.  Remember NT4 is an OLD OS.  The drivers on the boot diskettes are
OLD.

I actually get a kernel load off the diskettes, and then a system

Do your boot disks contain drivers for the SCSI card?
