You could also try using DTS from sql to import the data? Not sure if that helps at all :) Aaron -----Original Message----- From: thelist-admin at lists.evolt.org [mailto:thelist-admin at lists.evolt.org]On Behalf Of Rick Turoczy Sent: Friday, 13 July 2001 6:13 To: 'thelist at lists.evolt.org' Subject: RE: [thelist] MySQL to SQL server Alice, Could you potentially link to the MySQL data through Access or Excel via an ODBC connection to extract the data? Just a thought. No idea if it has any bearing in reality. :) Hope that helps, Rick Rick Turoczy Manager, Marketing Communications ProSight, Inc. | Portfolio management for technology leaders http://www.prosight.com/go.asp?ID=10 rick.turoczy at prosight.com p. 503.889.4882 -----Original Message----- From: Alice Hendricks [mailto:alice at ctsg.com] Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2001 1:10 PM To: Thelist at Lists. Evolt. Org Subject: [thelist] MySQL to SQL server Hello- Does anyone know how you can get data from a MySQL database to SQL server? Apparently you can't export a csv file, you can only export a SQL script. Unfortunately, the sql script it writes out can't simply be run because some of the values being inserted into varchar fields have apostrophe's in them, thus causing a syntax error. Thanks in advance, as usual, Alice --------------------------------------- For unsubscribe and other options, including the Tip Harvester and archive of TheList go to: http://lists.evolt.org Workers of the Web, evolt !
