[thelist] weird Netscape glitch

Okay, I have made the changes as suggested and now I get an alternative
baffling problem. The top nav bar background image will not display in
Netscape 4.7 for some bizarre reason. It works perfectly well in IE though,
so what's the problem?

Now that's one of those things that I always get annoyed about...
...there is really no need for a [potentially page-ruining] piece of
css... Just make the background image longer... Waaaay long...
Perhaps 4000 pixels [to cover for future screen resolutions] with the
rest of the bottom white... Adds a very small amount to the image
size... And gets rid of the need for a 'no repeat' style...

Just one of those things.
