Hi Annie!

The software that these companies use is readily available for purchase, and
they don't cost that much. A good place to look is
http://www.cyberspacehq.com/addweb/. The deluxe version is only 69.00 --
which is only 29.00 more than you were considering for another company to do
it, and by owning the software you will be able to promote your site
yourself any time you want. Another good software program is Web Position
http://www.webposition.com/.

The main difference between the two is that Addweb submits to over a 1000
Search Engines, and Web Position to only the main ones, but if you are
interested in really pursuing a high ranking, Web Position offers more tools
to accomplish this. (Submitting to over a 1000 search engines sounds good in
theory, but the problem is that most of these are little used -- they can
include small Search Engines specific to a city, hobby Search Engines,
personal Search Engines, and the like. In other words, technically they are
considered Search Engines, but they probably won't bring you any business.)

If you just want to get your feet wet, go to Jim Tools
(http://www.jimtools.com/) and click on 'Search Engine Submitter' under
'Tool News'. This a free submitter that will submit to around 46 Search
Engines.

Good Luck!

I've heard of companies that will submit a website to up to 1000 search
engines for a fee of ~ $40.00 or something like that
Does anyone know who they are, how much they cost or how reliable they are?
