[thelist] 72 burn period before installing software????

Seems like a waste to me.  If you're installing it on a new computer, that's
one thing, because any faulty components might die in 72 hours.  But if
installing software is going to cause a problem, it'll happen just as easily
in 72 hours as it will in 10 minutes.
