well, that depends, you using <font>?  you using CSS?  even if 
you're using both, it doesn't much matter...

for <font>, i use the following to accomodate Wintel, then Mac, 
then everyone else:

<font face="Times New Roman,Times,serif">

for CSS classes, i use:

font-family : Times New Roman, Times, serif ;

and any other times-like faces i can find... often i'll start with 
Georgia or some other specific face, and then list a handful of 
others afterward...

<font> limits your choices to 3... CSS does not...
