[thelist] Site Review for Learning Kana (repost)

I would straight away put everything on the page inside a table set to
center alignment (the table - not the table cell). Makes the site look
better at higher resolutions.

I would then check your navigation bar at top and bottom of the page as the
spaces between the links are a little skewy. Either all five should be
evenly spaced or if you wished to place 'main' and 'links' a little further
away from the other three links this should be done more obviously on
purpose. Katakana is closer to Kana Charts than to Hiragana.

Personally I would never put white directly on a soft lemon background like
that as I think it makes it look a little 'dirty', especially in a site that
is this simple.

The site is very simple - I would probably want to put at least one solid
bar of colour to dress it up. Or a photo or two.

I'm sending this again, because I'm desperate for some good feedback. It's
hard to work in a vacuum. ;)

Please send any comments about this site to help people learn japanese --
so far it has short pages on learning katakana and hiragana. We have plans
for expanding these pages, but it'd be nice to have a little feedback to
make sure we're not barking up the wrong tree. :>

Thank you muchly,

<tip type="web safe colors">
Even the so-called web safe colors aren't entirely web safe. Never try to
get an image of a color match a background. Some browser and platform
combinations just won't render them as the same color. Pick all graphics or
all backgrounds, or be prepared to do a lot of testing.
