I made this transition about two years ago.  If your experiences with
PHP are anything like mine, you'll find yourself wondering why you
ever bothered with ASP in the first place.  PHP is *so* much easier to
use, IMHO.  :)

Apache I can't help you with, but the main PHP Manual at php.net is
excellent as a reference, and Wrox' "Professional PHP Programming" is
excellent as an introduction/tutorial.
