Just one more addition to the discussion ->

We've started animating GIFs that aren't 100% Web safe and/or have
gradations.  Just a minor change from one frame to the next (a few pixels)
is enough.  It doesn't add a lot to the file size - and AOL does not
compress animated GIFs.

We have a testing computer w. AOL on it - and it truly does a great job of
showing how bad a page can look!  It's definitely worth it.
