This stuff all comes under the "spyware" heading.

Get something like www.grc.com 's "optOut" program(something like..not
neccesarily that one.) and move the poo of your drive.

Have a look on the internet about your specific program
(I suggest google "spyware " + name of program...)

doing the above for gator turned up this nice little site (i visited before)

ps.. It probably is worth being proactive in getting rid of this crap thats
clogging your system..particularly if you play games
