Free wireless networks using 802.11b are great. I've had airport for
about a year and it rocks hard. Lots of folks are working on providing
free net access to anyone with an 802.11b card - just hook up your
dsl/cable and wire the neighborhood.

I have a dump o links (I think mostly on point) on this -- and am
working with a local San Diego group trying to see what we can do.
